There’s
a
pile
of
journal
records,
a
head
full
of
ideas,
a
floor
full
of
diagrammatic
rugs
and
a
folder
full
of
artwork,
not
to
mention
boxes
and
discs
full
of
photographs.
All
are
demanding
a
chance
to
be
shared
with
people,
that
I
hope
are
out
there,
who
may
share
similar
interests
and
would
be
interested
and
intrigued
by
some
of
the
contents.
So,
this
website
is
my
“waving
not
drowning”
chance
to
share
a lifetime’s accumulation of investigations, imaginings and discoveries.
At
the
moment,
in
2019,
it’s
more
important
to
assemble,
expand,
clarify
and
get
on-line
the
various
pieces
of
information
and
enquiry
that
many
years
of
curiosity
and
research
have
produced
than
spend
more
time
in
pursuit
of
further
ideas,
though
there
are
some
more
which
I
hope
may
be
added
as
this
website
goes
live.
A
scan
of
the
various
‘pages’
here
will
reveal
the
range
of
topics
that
have
intrigued
me
since
the
early
days
and
some
of
the
great
minds
whose
leads
I’ve
followed
into
unexpected
places.
The
first
one
of
which
relates
to
the
Star
Goddess
at
Avebury.
Trying
to
categorise
the
whole
range
proved
difficult
and
not
very
useful
for
me.
So,
I’ll
leave
it
to
you
to
make
of
it
what
you
will.
Many
will
find
stuff
that
seems
“not
worth
the
candle”
but
I
hope
others
may
be
sufficiently
stimulated
to
read
and
consider,
ask
questions,
add
useful
thoughts,
and
debate
the
ideas
here.
I
will
be
adding
new
threads
to
the
pages and adding new material.
My
journey,
from
the
first
remembered
experiences
as
a
child,
to
the
mindset
of
a
would
be
“sage”
in
maturity
has
been
labyrinthine
and
multi-stranded.
The
swirling
path
filled
with
loops
and
coils
has
led
through
many
fields
of
investigation,
sceptical
enquiry
and
at
times
suspension
of
disbelief.
Each
new
development
has
provided
a
building
block
or
touchstone
for
those
that
followed
and
often
influenced
other
areas
of
interest.
While
a
rational
and
scientific
approach
has
been
the
starting
point
for
many
of
these
investigations
an openness to things less consensual has helped to frame many of these ,conclusions.

Mythology, Calendars of the past and Seasonal celebrations.

A
point
of
departure
is
one
of
my
early
memories,
as
a
four
year
old,
camping
at
a
gathering
of
the
woodcraft
oriented
Kindred,
to
which
my
parents
belonged.
After
dark
in
a
field
near
High
Wycombe,
in
the
hollow
of
an
old
chalk
pit
overhung
by
beech
trees
burnt
a
large
fire.
Surrounding
it
I
saw
a
sea
of
faces,
glowing
in
the
light
of
the
flames,
singing
the
old
songs
of
the
Kindred.
Since
then
the
joy
of
sitting
with
friends
round
a
fire
as
the
sparks
rise
up
into
the
night
sky
with
stories
and
songs
to
be
shared
has
never
dimmed.
It
has
continued
into
this
new
century
with
the
folk
of
Oak
Dragon
in
“talking
stick”
circles
and
more
recently
another
group
of
friends
sat
with
me
in
the
Oxford
Integral
Circle
discussing
the
ideas
of
Ken
Wilber.
